Shailu and Surya bid adieu to US

Today Shailu and Surya are heading back to India for good. Its been 4 yrs for her in US and she already feels this place her home. And like all, she is leaving with a heavy heart. She may want to be in India but i can tell that some part of her heart will always not leave Fort Worth, TX-US. I can understand that, after all the feeling is mutual.

She is leaving with surya all by herself and thats another matter of concern. I wish i could be with her, but there are too many things at work here to complete, before i can leave. Anyway, she needs that extra time to settle down in India before i join her.

Ohh by the way here is what i use to keep track of times in different countries that she has to hop before reaching chennai.

Fort Worth(US), Frankfurt (Germany), Manama (Bahrain), Chennai (India)

Surya's clean conscience

Today surya did something new.

Usually he wears a diaper, so when he pees, its in the diaper and the floor is clean. But of-late we have been letting him free and he occassionally does it on the carpet making Shailu angry.

Having noted that, today he ran to the diaper box, took a diaper and attempted to pee in it. It was amazing and it shows he is aware of consequences and is distinguishing between right and wrong.

On that note, at times he only chooses to do the wrong, just to agravate us and its fun for him.

Surya says Thank you

Surya now says Thank you. Though it is not very crisp, but clear enough for anyone to understand. He started saying this all of a sudden for the past 10 days. He is getting better with it now. He has already mastered saying "Bye bye" and "Tata", "Vumma (for Kiss)" to name a few of the many words.

He is good in singing songs, mostly the rhymes and few movie and TV title songs. Hope he will be able to convert single words to sentences soon.

Surya Second Birthday

Hi y' all,

Its been some time since i updated this blog. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting. But i guess the wait is worth it, because here i am with yet another important event of our life. Its Surya's Second Birthday party.

It was not all that huge as the first birthday party, but never-the-less, this was unique in its own kind.

We had the party arranged in a kids play joint called "Lets Jump". Its an indoor arena full of all kinds of Jumping castles, Combo Hurdles and plain fun bouncers and slides. Surya liked this place the first time we came here. Immediately, this place felt like the best place where he would have wanted his Birthday Party. And be hold it was. He had some of his other freinds come over too and they all had the fun of their life here. Even parents liked it too.

His party was so much fun and myself along with Surya and Shailu thank all that came to make this the best party yet.
